THE SECOND ATLANTIS REHABILITATION CENTRE FOR DRUG ADDICTED CONVICTS OPENED IN KAZAKHSTAN ASTANA, 6 November 2009 – On Saturday, 7th November, the EU-UNDP Central Asia Drug Action Programme (CADAP) will hand over to the Penitentiary Committee of the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan a refurbished and equipped building of the rehabilitation unit for drug-addict convicts at prison ¹166/10 located near Astana. The total cost of refurbishment works, computers and furniture was about ˆ 37 000. |

TRAINING COURSE ON USE OF DRUG DETECTION EQUIPMENT HELD IN TAJIKISTAN Dushanbe, June 11, 2009 – Twenty-three representatives from the Tajik Border Troops, the Customs Service and the Drug Control Agency working at six Drug Profiling Units (DPUs), located at railway stations and airports, participated in two specialized training sessions on the use of drug detection equipment.
