| CADAP 1, the first phase of the CADAP Programme (January 2001- December 2004), supported the following projects:
- Airport Control: procurement of drug control equipment and training to four major airports in the region;
- NADIN (National Drug Abuse Information Print): aimed at providing beneficiary countries with the means to carry out epidemiological assessments on drug abuse;
- ADMIT: Anti- Drug Measures in Tajikistan supported the development of the new drug control authority (DCA) in Tajikistan;
- EUDROCA: launched a coordination office located at the EC Delegation in Almaty from January 2001, now moved to Bishkek;
CADAP 2 (April 2004- December 2006) comprised the following projects:
- Legal assistance to reform drug legislation in line with European and international standards;
- Strengthening of law enforcement drug control capacities at airports, seaports and land borders;
- Development of national intelligence analysis and forensic laboratory capacities;
- Establishment of a model prison regime for drug-addicted prisoners to inhibit transmission of HIV/AIDS;
- Support to regional coordination office located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan;
CADAP 3 (October 2004- December 2007) covered the following projects:
- Reinforcement of drug control capacities at the border;
- Strengthening of regional forensic capacities;
- Raising of public awareness on the danger of drug consumption;
- Strengthening of regional cooperation and donor coordination;
The on-going Programme phase CADAP 4 (January 2007- December 2008) includes the following projects:
- Drug epidemiology to establish a sustained capacity to analyses drug related data based on EMCDDA (European Monitoring Center on Drug and Drug Addition) guidelines;
- Prevention of drug use in Prison: to offer treatment- rehabilitation services to inmates in prisons;
- Drug profiling at airports and railways: to encourage fight against drug and precursors trafficking based in intelligence and inter-agency cooperation;
- Prevention campaign in the media: to inform to population of the health- risks of drug use (including HIV infection)
